Protecting The Passion

We have a philosophy here, and it is simple: we bring joy to one another. This is a safe place to show your full feathers — difference is welcome, uniqueness is the point. Everything else is how.

Respect

Everyone here chose to come. Meet them the way you would want to be met — as somebody with a life, a passion, and a reason for being in the room. Nobody is better than anybody else, and no passion is better than any other. Everyone has their thing.

Kindness

Kindness is the whole tone of this place. Say what you mean, kindly. Welcome the new person. Notice the quiet one. If a Passion Plume is not for you, leave it gently; if a plan changes, tell the people it changes for. A host who says seven means seven; a member who says they are coming, comes.

Joy, And Your Feathers

This is a place for living life at full passion — for showing your full feathers. Nobody here is asked to be smaller, quieter or more like everybody else; the peacock is the whole idea. Bring your enthusiasm, your curiosity and your generosity, and leave anything that makes a room smaller at the door. The best salons are the ones people leave lighter than they arrived.

Privacy

People share where they live, what they love and who they are. That is theirs. Never share a member’s address, photograph, or anything they told you, outside the Passion Plume it was said in.

Confidentiality

What is said in a Passion Plume stays in it. A thinking salon only works when people can think out loud; a book club only works when people can be honest about the book. Hold what you hear.

Your Own Judgement

LA PASSION.life is for people who are 18 or over. We do not vet anybody — a member is a person who paid to be here and made this promise. So use your own judgement about who you meet and where: meet in public places first, tell somebody where you are going, and trust yourself.

When Somebody Forgets This

Write to us. A member who breaks this promise loses their membership, and we do not refund it. A host may ask anybody to leave their Passion Plume, for any reason, and we will stand with them.

You make this promise when you join. It is the door — and it is what protects the passion for everyone.
